This Privacy Policy explains how Igor Donkov s.p. (doing business as Countdown Kings) collects, uses, and protects information in our mobile applications: Minimalistic Countdown Timer (iOS and Android) and Countdown Timer Nano (iOS). This policy applies to all versions of these apps. By using the apps, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Overview

Our mobile apps are designed to be simple and private. The apps do not require user accounts and do not collect personally identifiable information. We use limited anonymous analytics and crash reporting to improve stability and features. All purchases are processed securely by Apple and Google.

2. Information We Collect

Anonymous Usage and Diagnostics

The apps use Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to understand how the apps are used and to detect and fix crashes. This data is aggregated and anonymous. It may include:

  • App events and feature usage (for example, which settings are used), without any content you enter.
  • Crash reports and technical diagnostics (stack traces, error states).
  • Coarse device and app information such as device model, operating system version, app version, language/region, and a random, resettable identifier.

We do not use this data to identify you personally.

Purchases

PRO features are unlocked through in-app purchases processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play Billing. The app never sees or stores your payment information. Only a local flag indicating PRO status is stored on your device.

Information We Do Not Collect

  • No name, email address, phone number, or account credentials.
  • No contacts, photos, files, precise location, microphone, or camera data.
  • No timer values, labels, or custom text are transmitted off your device.

3. Device Permissions

The apps request certain permissions only to provide their features. None of these permissions are used to collect personal data.

  • Notifications — Optional. Show timer status on the lock screen and play an alert when a timer ends.
  • Exact Alarm / Scheduling — Fire timer alerts at the correct time even when the app is in the background.
  • Foreground Service & Wake Lock — Keep the countdown running accurately while the screen is off or the app is minimized.
  • Local Network (iOS) / Internet — Used only by the optional Remote Control (Web Controller) PRO feature. This allows you to control the timer from another device on the same Wi-Fi network. All traffic stays on your local network and is not sent to our servers.
  • Billing — Process optional PRO in-app purchases through the platform store.

You can change or revoke these permissions at any time in your device settings.

4. How We Use Information

We use the limited anonymous information to:

  • Diagnose and fix crashes to keep the apps stable.
  • Understand which features are used so we can improve them.
  • Maintain and verify your PRO purchase status locally on your device.

We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for advertising. The apps contain no third-party advertising.

Anonymous analytics and crash data are retained by Firebase according to Google’s standard retention periods. We do not maintain any database of users. The PRO status flag is stored locally on your device and is removed if you uninstall the app.

  • Permissions: You can deny or revoke any permission in your device settings. The apps remain usable, though some features may be limited.

The apps are general-purpose utilities and are not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

All settings are stored locally on your device. We rely on the platform’s built-in protections and the security practices of the third-party services listed above. Because the apps collect no personal data, the privacy risk is minimal.
